Retrigger problem

Postby kjmo » Sat Dec 29, 2012 3:32 am

I'm using hart e-drums, an alesis trigger io and addictive. My snare has a retrigger problem, only when playing fairly quiet (especially ghost notes). I'm not having the problem in Native Instruments Abbey Roads Modern drums, which I think is odd. Is there any adjustment in the software that would make a difference for retriggering? I've tried settings in the alesis, of course. Turning the retrigger setting all the way up does not get rid of the retriggering (although it does get rid of my flams!). I honestly thought for a while that it was either the drum, or the alesis, but it doesn't seem to be. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that. Could you tell me a bit more? By retriggering - do you mean that two hits are registered when you only hit the pad once...?

Sorry, fwiw I figured out that it probably is my triggers. The foam was sticking to the head, so that the initial strike and the rebound were both triggering a hit. I think  Anyway, I think I have it figured out. Thanks!
