Hi...
I'm new to the world of Addictive Drummer. I've been an avid user of Toontrack and Superior Drummer. I have to say, I love them. I'm excited to get to know the AD product line. I've always wanted AD but couldn't get myself to purchase it when the free demo was such a CPU drain. I thought that the full version could only be worse. I uninstalled and deleted everything XLN from my hard drives thinking I would stick with Toontrack.
I entered a drawing at Groove Monkee and won a free copy of AD last month! So... I went ahead with the downloads and lo-and-behold, what a pain in the ass!! I didn't have any troubles but it's certainly not "user friendly". After I got it authorized and running in Logic I noticed right away that it wasn't placing any significant demand upon my CPU. What a relief!! Then I messed around with the few sounds and MIDI files that I got with it (Sloppy, Heavy Rock and Ballad Grooves)... and really enjoyed what I was hearing. So my next composition would (naturally) employ the use of AD.
That's when I noticed that there were no Intro/Intro fills (or Outro's for that matter). I'm so used to the Toontrack MIDI files having those that I thought... "where are they, they've gotta be here somewhere?" Nope... Maybe it was an error to omit that because it seems like some of your newer MIDI Paks contain Intro and Outro MIDI files...
Is this all correct or should I have those Intro's?
