This forum is kind of messy. There are many requests for various drum maps to use in different sequencers but there seems to be no clear and direct link to find them and download them. Some posts say they are in the user download area but I don't see them there. Am I just blind? Glare Shifty Rolling Eyes

I hope there will soon be a VERY clear link to whatever maps have already been made.... sure I can spend some time and make my own but I'm sure this has been done long ago by others, no?

I need one for Cubase 5 at this moment.

Thanks much

Hi,

There were some drum maps uploaded to the Downloads area before, but since the new Addictive Drums 1.5 update contains custom midi remapping, Map Presets etc. we removed them.

Perhaps you are talking about a map that displays the kit piece names from Addictive Drums directly in the Cubase drum editor..? That was not the kind of drum maps that we had in the Downloads page (they were only for remapping midi).

well yes... for example, for Cubase, the type of item normally called a drum map is a name.drm file. All it does is show on the keyboard in the midi editor, the names of each drum hit. Each name shows up at the left of the midi editor. Like so:

I understand about the new key mapping for the 1.51 and particularly for the brush kits...

I imagine what I need is a map for the brush kits and a different map for the other kits?

Did I explain it better this time?

Thanks for any more help,
Heart

Can someone please help with this question?

Maybe I am clueless, but all I want to do is open my MIDI drum editor in Cubase 4 and see the proper names of the drum hits to the left.

If I try to load an .ADmap through the Cubase drum map setup, all the .ADmaps are greyed out.

So I tried loading an .ADmap through the AD beats window, but that doesn't change the names that I see in my Cubase drum editor.

thanks!

I have asked before that a set of drum maps for any and all sequencers be put somewhere on this site for clear easy downloads... but it never happens.

The maps for cubase that your want are "xxx.drm" files. How to use them and how to load them and how to even create your own for cubase is explained in the cubase manual.

However if you will give me an email where I can send to you, then I will try to send you back a couple of useable ones for AD drums in Cubase.

Then if you want to you can also modify these in cubase to your own liking and save as with a new name.

You know, I have found on the web and\or have made various drum maps for AD to use in at least two different sequencers... some are for Cubase and some are for Reaper.

They would helpful to AD users of those sequencers... at the very least they would save them much time since they could easily alter them inside each sequencer as they wished.

But I don't see a defined place here where users can upload such helpful files for other users to download. Is there such a place??? If not, IMHO there really should be!

Whatchathink???
