I actually agree with slumbum from
above...
But for me, I'd like to know as well but for the Yamaha DTXpress IV Special...Does positional
sensing work on rubber pads? Does the bell hi-hat feature work on this as
well?
Lastly, a guide about mapping the whole thing about the DTXpress IV Special via Sonar 8 & how are you gonna get the
sound out on Sonar would be very much appreciated. |

Thanks for the tutorials, great idea!
I would like to see some more AD specific tutorials. For example how to mix
AD drums in the song. Even when using presets I'm having trouble to have
the drums punch through, so obviously I am missing something.
Another tutorial would be on how to use AD reverb. How to mix two reverbs
together, what parts of the kit should get reverb, etc.
Thanks. |

| How about something on how to assign the drums to a specific channel in the
mix - I'm brand new at this and not sure how to do that - |

Forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question, but I'm pretty new to all
things midi.
Okay, I've got AD loaded into my host software (Nuendo 2), selected a kit
and a beat, click "Play" - everything works great. Except that
it just plays the same thing through the entire length of the song. How do
I tell AD (for example) that I want it to play a fill on the 8th bar, then
back to the straight beat, then another fill on the 16th bar, stop with
cymbal crash at the end of the 24th bar, etc?
I know this is totally basic beginner stuff, but, well, I'm a beginner. Is
there a tutorial somewhere that can help me?
Thanks,
~kyle |

Hi Kyle,
Please try deactivating the Sync button on the BEATS page, then
drag&drop a groove from that page onto the Addictive Drums track in
Nuendo. If you have any further questions, please post them here:

| Thanks, but a tutorial on this would still be helpful, at least so I'd know
what drag/dropping a groove is supposed
to do (since it doesn't work in Nuendo 2) |

I would love some tutorials of making different kind of electronic
drum-sounds out of the drum-kits (preferably the kits that are included).
For instance Deep Bass-sounds, House-kicks, Electro-pop etc.
Like Max Martin is telling us Addictive Drums is all he needs in his
productions: how does he get his drum-sounds to sound like they do..? I try
to tweak, but it seems I'm not getting what I want. Maybe I'm starting with
the wrong drum-kits? Anyway: would really like a tutorial on this. |

More specific: could it be a combination of using built-in effects and
tweaking compression, volume etc, or are other plugins needed? |
