Waltteri Väyrynen, drummer for Opeth, brings power, precision, plus years of international touring and studio experience to Addictive Drums 2.
Combining technical control with an unmistakably heavy, musical feel, his playing moves effortlessly from detailed progressive passages to full-force metal aggression.
Beyond Opeth, Waltteri has also played with Paradise Lost, Abhorrence, Bodom After Midnight, Bloodbath, and Carcass.

Dual 22” kick drums deliver focused punch with exceptional clarity. Designed for fast patterns and complex phrasing, they maintain definition even in dense arrangements. Their slightly different tuning adds an extra level of organic feel to your drum performances.
Automagic alternates
Addictive Drums 2’s new Alternating kick feature will play back any rapid-fire double kick MIDI pattern in a natural-sounding and realistic “every-other-hit” sequence, without you having to change a MIDI note.

Captured at Soundtrade Studios
Recorded and engineered by renowned metal producer David Castillo in the spacious room at Soundtrade Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. Perfect for recording drums.
A room built for impact
With an almost 7-meter floor-to-ceiling height, the large Soundtrade Studios room provides a wide dynamic range while maintaining a tight and controlled sound. Meticulous attention was given to microphone selection and placement to fully capture the room’s unique character.
Precision tuned by a master
Every drum in this kit was carefully tuned by Urban Näsvell, a veteran Swedish technician. He served as the drum tech for Opeth’s 2008 masterpiece Watershed, along with a vast portfolio of other acclaimed projects.
